Julia’s color also grabs everyone’s attention. In the new class definitions, Julia fits in as a “new grey” being a dark fawnish grey. She has no white on her legs or chest. There is a little white on her face (some call it light fawn) depending on the light. In other words, her coloring is unique to most.

 

Julia has tremendously dense fiber, crimpy dense fiber. Please look at the picture on the left. She has great fiber coverage on her legs as well as wonderful bone. Straight legs, an excellent strong rear quarters, and a great level topline, these are all attributes of Julia.

 

Julia’s mother is Carousel Rita Meter Maid, also a dark charcoal grey. Rita is one of my foundation females that will stay on the farm forever. She is the perfect mother with all the traits one looks for in a breeding female. I have repeated the breeding that created Julia. Snowmass Golden Touch is a perfect compliment to Rita with his mother being a Peruvian true black. Peruvian Legacy is still alive with his contribution of his son, Golden Legacy as Golden Touch’s father and the outcome equals a sensational Julia and the newest cria.
