Carousel Higgins is one of my favorites. He used to drink water from my water bottle, as I held the bottle. What a personality.
His fiber is great. The fiber exhibits tight crimp with soft handle. Simply love it! His fiber is a sun kissed fawn. His head is typey with face fleece, structurally sound with four good legs and a strong level topline.
The genetics is strongly based on Peruvian Legacy and Peruvian Don Julio, with Legacy doubled up in the pedigree. I so loved what I got in Higgins that I repeated the breeding for a 2009 cria. This time Marshmallow had a girl, Wanda, also foundation quality.
Lambeau Leap is the matching pair to Higgins. Lambeau is so much like Higgins that I have to look at the eyes to tell them apart. Lambeau has almond shaped eyes while Higgins has more diamond shaped eyes. Lambeau has a touch darker fawn color.
Genetics wise, they are very similar with the same father and Higgins being an uncle to Lambeau on the mother’s side, Hannah is a daughter of Marshmallow. Peruvian Legacy shows up twice on this pedigree too. Peruvian Don Julio and Peruvian Drambuie help paint the picture that is Lambeau Leap.
Lambeau received a third at the Spring Bling show in 2008.
